Population forecasts estimate that by 2021 approximately 8,000 people will reside on Doncaster Hill. By this time it is anticipated that local demand would support 14,000 sq m of retail floor-space. Current retail floor-space on Doncaster Hill is 800 sq m.

The revitalisation of Westfield Shoppingtown is expected to provide a major attraction for people outside the local area.

Demand is high for commercial office space in Melbourne’s suburban markets, particularly in the eastern region, and Doncaster Hill is already the home to a variety of office activities including corporate entities, small professional firms, activities with significant public access requirements, and micro-businesses.

There is currently a market in Doncaster Hill for corporate offices and small offices for micro-businesses, and continued population growth and planned infrastructure improvements are likely to strengthen this demand.
