The first development to commence construction in the Doncaster Hill Activity Centre was Southpoint Apartments at 8 Clay Drive, Doncaster.
Southpoint Apartments, completed and now occupied since February 2005, is an eight-storey residential apartment block, with sweeping views across the south from Doncaster Hill. Features of the development include two and three bedroom apartments and basement car parking. The ground floor consists of individual office suites with outdoor terrace areas, a concourse, lobby and entrance. This project has successfully incorporated ESD into its design and built form. The redevelopment of Westfield
Doncaster received planning approval in May 2004, with
work on the $600 million project commencing in January 2007.
The transformation will increase total retail space to around
109,000 m2. Among the 400 retailers from October 2008 will
be newcomers David Jones, Big W and Target. Village Cinemas
returns with a multi-screen complex.
Redeveloped sections of the centre will open in three stages.
The first stage opened on 10 April 2008 The second stage will
open in June, and the final stage in October 2008.

Point complex, located on the Williamsons Road frontage opposite
Westfield Doncaster.
