Draft Doncaster Hill Precinct 1 Masterplan

Manningham Council has released the Draft Doncaster Hill Precinct 1 Masterplan for public comment, which will guide development of Precinct 1 over the next 20 to 30 years. The Masterplan is on exhibition until Monday 15 June.

Under the Masterplan, a number of cultural, social, community and recreational facilities and services will be enhanced and centrally located to meet the growing needs of the community.

Draft Doncaster Hill Precinct 1 Masterplan - Have your say

The Draft Doncaster Hill Precinct 1 Masterplan will be used to guide development within Precinct 1 of the Doncaster Hill Activity Centre. Development will occur over the next 20 to 30 years, with Stage 1 - the Civic Precinct - expected to be completed within the next three years.

The Masterplan is available online, or in hard copy at Council Offices, 699 Doncaster Road, Doncaster.

Precinct 1 Masterplan Community Information Sessions

Two Community Information Sessions are being held in May on the Draft Precinct 1 Masterplan. Details of the sessions are:

Thursday 21 May and Wednesday 27 May

$5 million received from Federal Government

Council has secured a $5 million Federal Government grant to help fund the Doncaster Hill Community Centre building.

The grant is expected to kick-start the $28.35 million project that will deliver family, community, education and health services to the Manningham community. The Community Centre will include a state-of-the-art library, gallery, cafe, maternal and child health services and office accomodation for Doncare.

Draft Smart Energy Zone Action Plan on public exhibition

A Draft Action Plan for the Doncaster Hill Smart Energy Zone is currently on exhibition for public comment. The Plan is part of Council's work with Sustainability Victoria to prepare a sustainable energy 'road map' and develop Doncaster Hill as a Smart Energy Zone. Submissions can be made until Friday 29 May.

Amendment C81 gazetted

An amendment to the Manningham Planning Scheme Doncaster Hill Comprehensive Zone that changes floor space requirements for shop use has been approved by Minister for Planning, The Hon. Justin Madden.

Issues Forum meeting, 1 April 2009

The fourth meeting of the Doncaster Hill Issues Forum was held on 1 April 2009, where the group discussed the Draft Doncaster Hill Precinct 1 Masterplan and contributed their ideas and comments around the themes of the five guiding principles.
