Planning Minister announces further funding for Doncaster Hill

Minister for Planning, the Hon. Justin Madden, announced on Tuesday that Manningham Council would receive $97,000 funding to appoint a Place Manager to drive the implementation of the Doncaster Hill Strategy.

The funding will allow Manningham Council to employ a Place Manager to create a sense of place for Doncaster Hill and work collaboratively across all areas of Council, and with external stakeholders, to bring the Hill to life.

This position will play a key role in advocating for additional project funding and facilitating the delivery of Doncaster Hill infrastructure works, private sector development and community engagement initiatives.

It is anticipated the funding will be made available in January 2008.
