More funding and expert assistance for the Hill

Eastern Metropolitan MP, Brian Tee, this week
announced that the State Government would provide a grant of more than
$150,000 for plans to "renew and expand the heart of Doncaster".
The funding consists of three parts:
- $50,000 of expert advice for planning the Doncaster
Hill Principal Activity Centre
- $50,000 to encourage investment in diverse land
uses or developments for key sites in the area
- $50,000 to facilitate funding advocacy for the
Civic Precinct
The expert advice component will help Council implement
the Civic Precinct initiative, a $28 million vision including art, welfare,
childcare, education and health services. It will assist with community
consultation and identification of opportunities.
The funding has been provided through the State
Government's Expert Assistance Program.
