Developer Expo a success9 June 2010The inaugral Doncaster Hill Developer Expo, held on Friday 4 June, saw more than 300 attendees, including developers, industry leaders, real estate agents, state and federal government representatives, officers from other councils and members of the community, hear expert speakers and gather information from a range of exhibitors. The event featured high calibre speakers on the following topics:
Exhibitiors on the day included organisations such as Manningham City Council, Crowne Plaza, Loddon Mallee Housing Services, MacroPlan Australia, AECOM, Taylors Development Strategists, VicRoads, the Department of Planning and Community Development, the Department of Transport, Ventura Buses, Melbourne Water, Yarra Valley Water and the Monash University Centre for Water Sensitive Cities. The Expo showcased the work Council is doing on Doncaster Hill and highlighted how Manningham is leading the way in promoting the Hill and engaging with developers to attract further investment. It also included the launch of the Civic Precinct Community Hub hoardings, by Federal Member for Menzies, Kevin Andrews. Attendees offered much positive feedback about the event, on the quality of speakers and presentations, as well as the information provided by exhibitors.
