DAC Advisory Committee seeks feedback

Following its decision to establish a Development
Assessment Committee (DAC) to decide planning permit applications for
certain matters in the Doncaster Hill Activity Centre, the State Government
is has set up an Advisory Committee to provide advice on the classes of
application for permit that will be determined by the DAC.
The Committee is inviting submissions from owners
and occupiers of land, and any public authorities, that may be materially
affected by classes of of planning permit applications being decided by
a DAC.
The DAC will be established by an Order of the
Governor in Council, which must specify the area where the DAC will decide
planning permit applications, and the types (or 'classes') of application
the DAC will decide. The Order will be made on the recommendation of the
Minister for Planning, who will receive advice from the Advisory Committee.

Interested persons who make a submission will have
the opportunity to present verbally to the Advisory Committee on 5 August
2010 at 10 am at the Manningham City Council Civic Offices. Anyone wishing
to be heard by the Committee should complete a 'Request to be Heard form.
