Innovative water solution wins High Commendation

Council’s Doncaster Hill Smart Water Plan has been awarded a High Commendation at the Victorian Engineering Excellence Awards 2011 in the 'Initiatives that Shape our Future' category.

The award submission was entered on behalf of Council by consultants Bonacci Water, in conjunction with other partners MWH and Cullen Capital.

The plan will ensure that more than 4000 new residences within Doncaster Hill will have access to Class A recycled water for toilet, laundry and irrigation uses.

The Smart Water Plan is another initiative that will see Doncaster Hill become a sustainable Principal Activities Area.
